Burlington, Vermont Balloon and Music Festival

 

September 12, 2004 - Sunday - AM Flight

Fog kept 26+ Hot Air Balloon pilots and there crew socked in for a morning flight from Northampton Airport in North Hampton, MA during the Massachusetts Balloon Challenge and Festival. Weather to the west and east of the Connecticut river valley was clear, so 15 balloon crews drove west into Williamsburg, MA and launched from a hayfield. The hour and a half flight took us over the fogged in valley where most balloons landed in the Sunderland area.
