Birthday boy (Man) Rick Kandolin was treated to a Hot Air Balloon Flight by his wife Nan for a mile stone birthday. Rick had no idea what Nan and we were up too. Nan woke Rick in the dark early morning and drove him to a parking lot in Coventry, CT. We then drove Rick and Nan out to the launch site. All along Rick had no idea what was happening. When we arrived at our launch site, The Aquaturf in Southington, Rick still wasn't sure what was happening. Our friend Mike Bolea meet us there and helped us set up the balloon and took pictures along the way of the event. As soon as we rose above the tree line we saw many other hot air balloons flying in the valley. We flew along side, over and under, Frank Bart  in the  "Party Time" Hot Air Balloon. We drifted up and down the valley a few times and Rick made some cell phone calls along the way. Our flight ended with a soft landing in a school playground with Mike and Cindy there waiting for us. After we backed up we headed off to a post flight breakfast where we met up with 5 other balloon pilots and there crew.
