We meet in the parking lot of “Chase Building Supply” which is located on the south side of Route 171 on the Putnam / Woodstock town line, between Senexet Road and Little Pond Road. i mile east of the Woodstock fair grounds. We meet in the parking lot:

1-hour before sunrise for morning flights

2 ½ hours before sunset for evening flights.
Meeting Point times are based on the actual sunrise and actual sunset time for Hartford, CT as posted on the weather underground web site in the astronomy section.

Route 171
Woodstock, CT
From the North
Take I 395 south towards Putnam to Exit 97. At the end of the exit turn right heading West on Route 44. Go to “about” the 2nd traffic light (there should be a ball field/park in front of you) and turn Right onto Woodstock Avenue, Route 171 West. Chase Building Supply will be 2.2 miles down the road through Putnam on the left side. We meet in the parking lot.
From the West
Take Route 44 East towards Pomfret. Route 44 turns Left in Pomfret towards Putnam, follow the signs for Route 44 to the center of Pomfret. At the Pomfret Center Stop sign, continue straight through the intersection onto Route 169 towards Woodstock for 2.8 miles. At the stop sign turn Right onto Route 171 towards Putnam. Chase Building supply will be on your Right 1 mile down the road. We meet in the parking lot.
From the South
Take I 395 North towards Putnam to Exit 97. At the end of the exit ramp turn left and go under the highway heading West on Route 44. Go to “about” the 2nd traffic light (there should be a ball field/park in front of you) and turn Right onto Woodstock Avenue, Route 171 West. Chase Building Supply will be 2.2 miles down the road through Putnam on the left side. We meet in the parking lot.
From Hartford
Take Route 84 East towards Boston. After about 20 miles get off at Exit 69, “Willington, Route 74”. At the end of the Exit Turn RIGHT and follow Route 74 for about 10 miles to the intersection of Route 44. (Mobil Gas station and Dunkin Donuts on corner) - Turn LEFT on Route 44 heading East. After about 12 miles watch for a turn. Route 44 turns Left in Pomfret towards Putnam, (there will be a bank on the corner) follow the signs for Route 44 another 3 miles to the center of Pomfret (a stop sigh and blinking light & The Vanilla Bean Coffee shop is on the corner). - At the Pomfret Center Stop sign, continue straight through the intersection onto Route 169 towards Woodstock for 2.8 miles. At the stop sign turn Right onto Route 171 towards Putnam. Chase Building supply will be on your Right, 1 mile down the road.
